Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Treatment Study

Age: 40 or older

Gender: Male/Female

Description: A research study is evaluating an investigational for COPD when added to standard-of-care treatment in adults needing additional therapy. This research study may be an option if you:

  • Have been diagnosed with COPD for more than 1 year
  • Have a history of at least 2 moderate exacerbations (having to use systemic corticosteroids and/or treatment with antibiotics) or 1 severe exacerbation (requiring hospitalization) within the last year
  • Have experienced symptoms of chronic bronchitis for at least 3 months in the past year (productive cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness)
  • Are required to be on a standard therapy for COPD

Other criteria apply. Please make sure to discuss this study with a member of our research staff to ensure this research study is a good fit for you. Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and study medication (including standard of care treatment) at no cost.

Enrollment: Open

Patient Commitment Duration: Approximately 12 months

Number of visits in study: Approximately 15 visits

Patient Compensation: Financial compensation will be provided for time and travel expenses. Current background inhalers will also be provided.
