Biography

Kimberly recently joined the team here at Wilmington Health Gastroenterology. She has worked in the field of Gastroenterology for over 25 years, most recently at Novant Gastroenterology and prior to that with Charleston Gastroenterology Associates in Charleston, WVa. She was born and raised in Charleston and moved to Wilmington four years ago. Moving to Wilmington was prompted by her son, Ian, who relocated here a few years prior in order to live closer together. He currently owns a moving company in the area. She has a younger son ,Spenser, who recently graduated from dental school and is joining a practice in the Hamstead, NC area. She is happy now to have both of her children living nearby.

Kimberly initially graduated nursing school in 1990 and then went on to South University in Savannah, GA to complete her Master’s Degree in Nursing to certify as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She loves the field of Gastroenterology and has a particular interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She has even published in the International Annals of Medicine for her piece regarding “Ustekinumab for Infliximab-Resistant Peristomal Pyoderma Gangrenosum.” Kimberly is well-accomplished provider who prides herself on providing comprehensive, evidence-based medicine to the patients she serves.

In her off time, she enjoys pickleball, traveling, shopping, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. She loves living in Wilmington!
