Wilmington Health is evolving and growing constantly, and now provides consulting services via their MSO (management services organization), which is a B2B service company that provides expertise and counseling to other large corporations on operational solutions.
Wilmington Health is the 2nd largest ACO reach in the country with operations in 3 states and several large practices. Wilmington Health is so reputable in the ACO arena, that through the MSO, they are assisting other ACO practices including ones in Florida. Wilmington Health has also been requested to pilot as an equity partner in several early market companies.
Wilmington Health’s CEO, Jeff James, founded the research company Innovo Research, which partners with 10 other locations in 7 states from Connecticut to Washington state to further expand the clinical research network and provide clinical research as a care option. This further supports affordability of care for patients within our community and across the nation.
Wilmington Health’s Information Technology team is a leader in innovation for EMR advancements and actually hosts conferences and educational events for other organizations.
WH Direct, a direct-to-employer healthcare service model, is another benefit to the community, as Wilmington Health provides the establishment of on-site primary care clinics to employees at local companies, as well as occupational medicine services to the employers that they serve. Through WH Direct, Wilmington Health has been able to optimize the overall health of employees within these organizations, better manage their chronic conditions, as well as overall reduce the cost of care, both to the employer and employee. Because of the stellar performance with WH Direct and the ACO, Wilmington Health was chosen to pilot a state-wide initiative for BCBS State Health Plan employees in all efforts related to Value Based Care, where they are owning the health outcomes of a state-wide patient population.
Wilmington Health is consistently advancing healthcare, both in accessibility and affordability, for our community with the launch of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. It is worth noting that Wilmington Health is proud to be the first and only free-standing facility in N.C.
