Hospitalist
Hospitalists are physicians trained in Internal Medicine and specialize in hospital inpatient care. Wilmington Health's team of hospitalists are experienced in dealing with the types of acute medical illnesses that bring a patient into the hospital, like pneumonia, Meningitis and a myriad of other conditions. In addition to their interactions with ancillary services such as physical and occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, social services and nursing case management. Our hospitalist's maintain close contact with the patient's primary care physicians and specialists to keep them informed of their condition. We help to coordinate your care and discharge services to ensure the continuity of your care.
